The people behind ColeValleySF
A website dedicated to the Cole Valley neighborhood and its residents.
We are Cole Valley residents that saw that our neighborhood, as amazing as it is, does not have a user friendly, up-to-date, online resource. The goal of this website is to provide the most comprehensive information possible for our community. No sugar coating here - we provide a space that is informative and unbiased (although, if we do say so ourselves, we love living in Cole Valley).
We hope you like the site we've created. Visit our blog to converse around issues in the neighborhood or post items on the Neighborhood Exchange. Also, follow us on Twitter @ColeValleySF!
Looking for the Cole Valley Improvement Association (CVIA)? We are not affiliated with CVIA but we love working with them to help keep Cole Valley great. Visit CVIA here.
Have issues, comments, or questions? Want to see specific topics on the site? Want to write a blog? Know of any events that are going on in the neighborhood that you want to see on this site? Fill out the contact sheet on the Contact Us page! We'll be sure to get back to you as soon as possible.

Meet the Team
We here at ColeValley SF pride ourselves on our love of Cole Valley and the San Francisco Bay Area. We're a mixture of long timers, new comers, and past Cole Valley residents.
Judette Tobes Platz
Founder
Judette is a native San Franciscan and was a resident of Cole Valley before moving to Forest Hill in the summer of 2012. She created this site to pull together a neighborhood and to highlight all the cool things the neighbors do! As an ex-higher education administrator, she worked professionally to bring college student residence halls together and build community. Now she's hoping to do the same for Cole Valley. Let her know of any feedback because it will only make the site better!
Ellen Coplan Holderman
Social Media and Content Manager
Ellen is an Oakland native and has been a Cole Valley resident since 2011. She is currently working on a Master's in Nonprofit Management at University of San Francisco and works as the Community Engagement Assistant at Congregation Emanu-El.. Ellen has expertise in social media management and website design, and decided to use her skills to help make ColeValleySF a great neighborhood-focused website. She loves living in Cole Valley and has fallen in love with its beauty and charm. You'll see her relaxing and drinking tea at the backyard patio at Reverie or getting her yoga on at Yoga Tree Stanyan.
Joe Cannella
Community Outreach Manager
Born and raised in Las Vegas, Joe moved to the Bay Area in 1999 to attend Santa Clara University, and forgot to leave. He and his wife Annie have lived at the corner of Frederick and Clayton since 2010, and have greatly enjoyed connecting with the community. Joe spent most of his 20s working in sales at Google until he hung up his laptop in 2013 to recover and launch his local newsletter, Idle Times SF. This fall he is also getting the family business off the ground, producing his "Cannella" cinnamon liqueur right here in San Francisco. If you'd like to partner with ColeValleySF on a community project, please get in touch!
