Serious Incidents
300 block of Divisadero St.  9:45 PM  Commercial Burglary  Occurred between
6 and 9 PM. Forced entry of business via back door. Cash taken.

Other Incidents
1300 block of 7th Ave.  5 PM  Auto Burglary  Occurred between April 2 and
3.

16th and Castro Streets  8:30 PM  Traffic Case  Hit and Run of two parked
cars.

1200 block of Arguello Blvd.  4 PM  Harassing Phone Calls

500 block of Ashbury St.  1 PM  Vandalism  Two parked scooters had their
mirrors broken and their handlebars dislodged.

First block of Beaver St.  4:20 PM  Vandalism  Damage to parked car's
finish.

Carl and Cole Streets  2:50 PM  Warrant Service  Officer Anderson arrested
a 47 year old North Beach man on a Contra Costa County misdemeanor warrant.

500 block of Central Ave.  9 PM  Theft  A resident reported that a care
worker absconded with his wallet and its contents.

700 block of Corbett Ave.  7 AM  Auto Burglary  Officer Kenney investigated
a car break-in wherein a witness heard glass breaking and saw a man taking
items from a parked car. Officer Kenney was contacted at 9 AM by the car's
owner who reported his iPad missing, among other valuables. The victim was
tracking his iPad via the Internet. Lieutenant Pengel took over the
internet search and directed officers to Mission and 11th Streets. There
Officer Kenney found a 39 year old SF man in possession of the stolen iPad.
He did not match the description of the auto burglar. The man said that he
had just bought the $800 iPad for $250 on the street at 14th and Mission
Streets. He was arrested and charged with possession of stolen property.

300 block of Divisadero St.  12 PM  Theft  A store clerk reported to Foot
Beat Officer Leong that a man had shoplifted a soda and ran out of the
store with money left in a tip jar. The clerk chased the thief and
recovered the cash. Sergeant Aherne, Northern Station, stopped the thief, a
63 year old SOMA man, at Scott and Haight Streets. Officer Leong arrested
the man and charged him with burglary and petty theft.

500 block of Divisadero St.  3:40 AM  Aided Case  Officer Nyce ordered an
ambulance for a man who had fallen and hurt himself. Another man, a 26 year
old Haight Ashbury resident, interfered with paramedics as they tended to
the injured man. Officer Nyce admonished the man for interfering with the
paramedics.

Haight Street Corridor  One arrested on local warrants. One cited for a
Sit/Lie violation. One booked for maintaining a public nuisance (drunk in
public and Sit/Lie violation).

100 block of Hugo St.  11:10 AM  Stolen Vehicle  '85 Honda motorcycle
taken.

1400 block of Fulton St.  1:20 PM  Trespassing Unknown suspect told to
leave building's yard.
