Note:  Park Station's Community Police Forum will not be held on August
9th. Instead we will meet with Chief Suhr and residents of Richmond and
Taraval Police Districts at 6 PM on August 16th at the County Fair Building
(Hall of Flowers) at 9th Avenue and Lincoln Way to discuss Community

Serious Incidents

500 block of Frederick St.  Burglary  Occurred overnight. Interior door
pried open and bicycle taken from building's garage.

1600 block of Haight St.  Burglary  Occurred during the day. Entry via open
kitchen window. Two laptop computers taken.

Other Incidents

1200 block of Broderick St.  1 PM  Battery  Officer Peltier investigated a
Domestic Violence incident and named a suspect.

1800 block of Ellis St.  Auto Burglary  Occurred overnight.

       Haight Street Corridor

1500 block of Haight St.  2:20 AM  Vandalism  Window of business broken.
600 block of Haight St.  9 PM  Theft  Unattended purse taken from bar.

1700 block of Hayes St.  6 PM  Traffic Case  22 year old San Pablo woman
cited for driving with a suspended license; her car was impounded.

600 block of Oak St.  7 PM  Battery  Officer Bowers investigated a Domestic
Violence incident and arrested a 29 year old Western Addition woman for
battery.

1500 block of Waller St.  Vandalism  Two parked cars had their tires
slashed overnight.

100 block of Belvedere St.  (Frederick St.)  Missing Person  Teen left
group home without permission the night before.

Fulton and Willard North Streets  Auto Burglary  Occurred in the afternoon.

Golden Gate Park - JFK and Conservatory West Drives  Auto Burglary
Occurred at 7:15 PM. The victim saw the suspect inside his car and gave
chase. He recovered the stolen property.

       Haight Street Corridor

900 block of Buena Vista West (Haight St.)  9 AM  Warrant Service  Officer
Nakano arrested a 22 year old SF man on a Sonoma County warrant.
100 block of Central Ave.  (Haight St.)  9:30 AM  Stolen Vehicle  '00 Honda
taken overnight.
Haight and Cole Streets  12 PM  Warrant Service  Honda Officer Cardenas
arrested a 52 year old Tenderloin District man on 10 local warrants and
charged the man with possessing marijuana for sale.
Haight and Ashbury Streets  4:35 Pm  Disorderly Conduct  Foot Beat Officer
Racine checked on the well being of a man he found down on the sidewalk.
The man, a 29 year old Berkeley resident, was drunk and assaulted the
officer. Officer Racine struggled with the man. Two citizens came to his
aid and the three were able to control the drunk until the good officer
handcuffed the miscreant. He was booked at Park Station.
1200 block of Waller St.  (Central Ave.)   6 PM   Stolen Vehicle  '91 BMW
recovered.
1800 block of Haight St.  (Shrader St.)  8 PM  Battery  Suspect unknown.
Central Ave. and Haight St.  Auto Burglary  Occurred during the day.

First block of Parnassus Ave.  (Clayton St.)  Theft  On July 22 a thief
took a crystal platter from an antique shop during business hours. The
store owner found it listed on Craigslist. Sergeant Lederer took over the
case.

Stanyan and Carl Streets  11:30 PM  Traffic Case  Hit and Run traffic
collision; no injuries.

Twin Peaks 12:45 AM  Vandalism  Sergeant Lewis found a bonfire in the
overlook parking lot and cited a 21 year old San Rafael man for starting
the fire.

7th Ave. and Lincoln Way  5:50 AM  Warrant Service  Officer Bodisco and
Officer Brandt arrested two men, a 42 year old Tenderloin District resident
and a 46 year old Outer Mission resident, on local warrants and seized
burglary tools from the pair.

1300 block of Fell St.  (Broderick St.)  8 AM  Mental Health Evaluation
Officer Hunt brought a 23 year old SF man to UCSF for evaluation.

2600 block of Geary Blvd.  (Masonic Ave.)  Auto Burglary  Occurred in the
evening.

Conservatory Drive and Arguello Blvd.  Auto Burglary  Occurred at 2 PM
Conservatory Drive and JFK Drive  Auto Burglary  Occurred at 7 PM

       Haight Street Corridor

Sit/Lie Violations  One warned and one cited during the course of the day.
Buena Vista East Ave. and Haight St.  Auto Burglary  Occurred in the
evening.
900 block of Buena Vista West Ave. (Haight St.)  2 PM  Battery  A former
client struck a rehabilitation center worker when she asked him to leave.
Office Northridge and Officer Kavanagh arrested the man and found that he
was also in violation of a court stay away order.
600 block of Stanyan St.  (Haight St.)  9:30 PM  Theft  Officer Lamela
investigated a shoplifting incident and cited a 41 year old Haight Ashbury
woman for petty theft.

1500 block of Page St.  (Ashbury St.)  Auto Burglary  Occurred at 10:30 PM.
Two vehicles broken into.

Turk and Baker Streets  Auto Burglary  Occurred overnight.

400 block of Warren Dr.  (Devonshire Way)  Auto Burglary  Occurred between
July 18 and 23.

Divisadero and O'Farrell Streets  9 AM  Robbery  A 73 year old Park Merced
woman had her purse snatched by a robber.

Golden Gate Park - Alvord Lake  3:40 PM  Aggravated Assault  A man lost a
fight inside the park and returned with three friends who assaulted three
others, putting all three in the hospital with head and facial injuries.

1200 block of 2nd Ave.  (Lincoln Way)  Burglary  Occurred between 9:15 and
10:15 PM. Illegal entry via front door. Bike, two laptop computers, purse
and wallet taken.

First block of Flint St.  (16th St.)  Burglary  Occurred overnight. Forced
entry of building's garage - bike taken.

1400 block of McAllister St.  (Scott St.)  Burglary  Occurred between July
19 and 22. Entry via open window. Television and computer taken.

Other Incidents

100 block of Corbett Ave.  (Ord St.)  Auto Burglary  Occurred July 16.

the course of the day.

cited for driving with a suspended license; her car was impounded.

100 block of Parnassus Ave.  (Cole St.)  1:10 AM  Robbery  A 24 year old
Ashbury Heights man was robbed at knifepoint of his phone and wallet. The
suspect, a black male in his late 30's wearing a white baggy shirt over
dark baggy sweatpants, fled on foot.

500 block of Baker St.  (Grove St.)  Vandalism  Window broken during the
afternoon.

Buena Vista East Ave. and Buena Vista Terr.  Auto Burglary  Occurred
overnight.

First block of Delmar St.  (Waller St.)  Theft  Locked bicycle taken
overnight.

1800 block of Eddy St.  (Scott St.)  Vandalism  Window broken during the
evening.

2000 block of Fell St.  (Cole St.)  Stolen Vehicle  '92 Nissan recovered.

Golden Gate Park - Kezar Dr. and Waller St.  Auto Burglary  Occurred during
the afternoon.

Haight Street Corridor - MUNI bus  Theft  Victim reported having his pocket
picked during a ride from Market and Powell Streets to Haight and Stanyan
Streets. His wallet was taken.

Warren Dr. and Locksley Ave.  5:45 PM  Traffic Case  Car versus bicycle;
motorist and cyclist injured.

1600 block of Turk St.  (Scott St.)  12:40 AM  Robbery  A man walking home
from a bar was mugged by six to eight robbers. He lost his cell phone and
wallet.

600 block of Broderick St.  (Grove St.)  Burglary  Occurred between June 30
and July 19. Bike taken from garage.

2000 block of Grove St. (Cole St.)  Burglary  Occurred between July 13 and
19. Bike taken from locked garage.

1800 block of McAllister St.  (Baker St.)  Burglary  Occurred during the
day. Entry via unlocked window. Electronic games, laptop and car keys
taken.

Other Incidents

500 block of Central Ave.  (Hayes St.)  1:20 PM  Battery  Officer Diskin
investigated an argument and arrested a 58 year old Pittsburg, CA, woman
for battery.

First block of Cole St.  (Fulton St.)  1:30 AM  Vandalism  Window of parked
car broken with a hammer.

Divisadero and Eddy Streets  Auto Burglary  Occurred between July 17 and
18.

1800 block of Golden Gate Ave.  (Broderick St.)  Auto Burglary  Occurred
April 26.

1100 block of Masonic Ave. (Haight St.)  Auto Burglary  Occurred between
July 15 and 16.
Page St. and Masonic Ave.  Vandalism  Window of parked car broken the
morning of July 16.
1500 block of Waller St.  (Clayton St.)  Auto Burglary  Occurred between
July 15 and 16.
Haight St. and Buena Vista West  3 AM  Disorderly Conduct  Sergeant Silas
and posse arrested three people, all San Francisco residents in their late
teens and twenties, for being drunk in public and for possessing marijuana
and open containers of alcohol.
600 block of Stanyan St. (Haight St.)  Counterfeit Money  A grocery store
manager reported receiving two counterfeit bills on July 17. The U.S.
Secret Service was advised.

Serious Incidents

1100 block of Divisadero St. (Turk St.)  11:20 AM  Robbery  A 36 year old
Bayview District man and his daughter were robbed at gunpoint by two men as
they sat in their van on Divisadero Street. The robbers fled with a wallet
and a cell phone.

Haight St. and Masonic Ave.  10:35 PM  Robbery Arrest  Officer Fraize
stopped a 19 year old Treasure Island man because he had appeared in a
surveillance photograph taken during an armed cab robbery at Grove and Lyon
Streets on July 10th. Sergeant Callaway responded to the intersection to
question the man. The man fled the officers during the interview and was
captured inside Panhandle Park near Fell and Ashbury Streets. He was booked
on robbery charges at Park Station.

500 block of Cole St. (Haight St.)  4:40 PM  Threatening Phone Calls
Suspect known.

200 block of Corbett Ave. (Danvers St.)  Vandalism  Car window broken
overnight.

Golden Gate Park - JFK and Middle Drive East  Auto Burglary  Occurred on
July 14.

Haight Street Corridor

Two cited for Sit/Lie violations during the course of the day.

Lincoln Way and 3rd Ave.  Auto Burglary  Occurred on July 14.

100 block of Marview Way (Panorama Dr.)  Vandalism  Home wrecked by friends
of owner's son during owner's absence the second week of July.

first block of Museum Way (Roosevelt Way)  Threats  Emails sent by unknown
suspect.

Park Station  4:30 PM  Sexual Battery Arrest  Inspector Kelly charged a
County Jail inmate with misdemeanor sexual battery and battery in a July
8th case wherein a woman was accosted and spat upon while riding the N
Judah through the Sunset Tunnel. The suspect, a 37 year old SF man, was
arrested July 8th in the Duboce Triangle neighborhood on an unrelated
charge and later identified by the battery victim.

Serious Incidents

1400 block of Oak St.  (Baker St.)  1:20 AM  Robbery  A 22 year old Haight
Ashbury man fought off two robbers who had chased him and demanded his cell
phone. Then they overpowered him and took his athletic bag and groceries.

1800 block of Ellis St. (Steiner St.)  2:15 AM  Aggravated Assault - Shots
Fired  A witness reported seeing a gunman firing shots on Ellis Street. Two
victims reported that they had been fired upon while parking their SUV.
They abandoned their vehicle and fled to a relative's house.

Beulah and Shrader Streets 4 PM  Battery  Officer Tarbox investigated a
Domestic Violence incident wherein a 39 year old Haight Ashbury man struck
his girlfriend and stole her car. Officer Lamela found the perpetrator near
the initial scene six hours later and arrested him for battery and car
theft.

700 block of Stanyan St. (Haight St.)  6:55 PM  Robbery  A 21 year old
Richmond man was robbed of his cell phone.

Other Incidents

1200 block of 7th Ave. (Lincoln Way)  Auto Burglary  Occurred between June
26 and 27.

1300 block of 7th Ave. (Irving St.)  Stolen Vehicle  '07 Aprillia
motorcycle taken.

850 Broderick St.  2 PM  Death Case  Officer Hunt investigated a death case
and summoned the Medical Examiner's Office.

1300 block of Divisadero St. (O'Farrell St) 5:15 PM  Theft  Shoplifting
case - no arrests.

Divisadero and 14th Streets  2:40 AM  Mental Health Evaluation  A 39 year
old SF woman was brought to SFGH for evaluation.

2400 block of Geary Blvd. (Wood St.)  Threats  Occurred on June 26 -
suspect known.

2000 block of Grove St. (Clayton St.)  Missing Person  61 year old man
walked away from board and care home.

Golden Gate Park - Alvord Lake  2:20 PM  Warrant Service  Officer Farrell
arrested a 21 year old Vallejo man on a local warrant.

Serious Incidents

1100 block of Hayes St.  (Pierce St.)  5:30 AM  Burglary  A resident woke
upon hearing a burglar in her kitchen. The thief fled when she called out.
A briefcase and a jacket were taken. The burglar made entry via an unlocked
kitchen window.

1800 block of Grove St.  (Masonic Ave.)  Burglary  Occurred between 3:30
and 7:30 AM when victim was home asleep. Forced entry via side door to
apartment. Laptop computer and car keys taken.

1800 block of Grove St.  (Masonic Ave.)  Burglary  Occurred between 10:30
PM on June 24 and 6:30 AM on June 25. No forced entry found. Entry into
parked car inside building's garage.

First block of Broderick St. (Waller St.)  8:45 PM  Robbery  A 43 year old
Lower Haight District man was thrown to the ground by two robbers who
rifled his pockets and fled with his phone, cash and keys.

3600 block of 16th St.  (Castro St.)  10:35 PM  Aggravated Assault  A 37
year old Santa Rosa man was struck in the head with a bottle which was
thrown from the balcony of a bar.

Other Incidents

First block of Castro St. (14th St.)  7:40 PM  Battery  A SFFD medic was
bitten by a woman that he was transporting to a hospital.

1000 block of Divisadero St. (Golden Gate Ave.)  12:25 AM  Traffic Case
Officer Bowers stopped a motorist for running a red light and arrested the
19 year old Pacific Heights man for DUI.

Divisadero St. and Golden Gate Ave.  3:15 AM  Traffic Case  Officer Daza
investigated a hit and run traffic collision and arrested a 22 year old
Novato woman for hit and run driving and DUI.

1300 block of Hayes St. (Divisadero St.)  5:30 PM  Fire Case  SFFD
extinguished a two alarm house fire.

2100 block of Turk St. (Central Ave.)  2:50 PM  Auto Burglary  A witness
called to report that a car was being burglarized by two men. Officer
Ferraz and Officer Leong found the pair nearby. The two suspects fled from
the officers. The good officers captured one man, a 19 year old Chinatown
resident, nearby and charged him with auto burglary.

Serious Incidents

1100 block of Broderick St. (Eddy St.)  10:20 AM  Robbery  A 36 year old
NOPA woman was retrieving mail in front of her house when a robber
approached her from behind, placed a hand over her mouth and demanded her
cell phone. The suspect grabbed the phone from the victim's hand, pushed
her to the ground, and ran away. A neighbor gave chase to the suspect - who
was with another man - and recovered the phone when the perpetrator dropped
it.

Eddy and Divisadero Streets  11:25 AM  Robbery  A witness called the police
to report that a woman had been knocked to the ground and robbed. Sergeant
Gin and posse saw the suspect and gave chase. Officer Kenney captured the
robber, a 16 year old Western Addition male, at Turk and Scott Streets and
arrested him for robbery.

First block of Dellbrook Ave. (Olympia Way)  3:50 PM  Death Case  Officer
Anderson checked on the well being of a resident and summoned the Medical
Examiner's Office when he found the woman dead in her home.

1300 block of Divisadero St.  9:45 AM  Auto Burglary  A witness saw a man
carrying a briefcase away from a car with a broken window.  Another witness
recovered the briefcase nearby and returned it.

Fell St. and Masonic Ave.  10:25 AM  Vandalism  A customer broke a gas pump
with its nozzle and drove away.

2400 block of Geary Blvd.  (Wood St.)  Theft  A property manager reported
that a building had changed hands but the former property manager continued
to rent apartments to innocent tenants.

Masonic Ave. and Fell St.  12:20 PM  Traffic Case  Traffic collision: car
versus pedestrian - one party taken to SFGH.

1400 block of Page St.  (Central Ave.)  2:15 AM  Aided Case  Sergeant Silas
and posse investigated a call of a man down and found a 28 year old Antioch
man who had fallen from a fourth floor window.  He was taken to SFGH.

Turk and Divisadero Streets  11:40 AM  Traffic Case  Traffic collision: car
versus car - two injured.
