Serious Incidents

1100 block of Broderick St. (Eddy St.)  10:20 AM  Robbery  A 36 year old
NOPA woman was retrieving mail in front of her house when a robber
approached her from behind, placed a hand over her mouth and demanded her
cell phone. The suspect grabbed the phone from the victim's hand, pushed
her to the ground, and ran away. A neighbor gave chase to the suspect - who
was with another man - and recovered the phone when the perpetrator dropped
it.

Eddy and Divisadero Streets  11:25 AM  Robbery  A witness called the police
to report that a woman had been knocked to the ground and robbed. Sergeant
Gin and posse saw the suspect and gave chase. Officer Kenney captured the
robber, a 16 year old Western Addition male, at Turk and Scott Streets and
arrested him for robbery.

First block of Dellbrook Ave. (Olympia Way)  3:50 PM  Death Case  Officer
Anderson checked on the well being of a resident and summoned the Medical
Examiner's Office when he found the woman dead in her home.

1300 block of Divisadero St.  9:45 AM  Auto Burglary  A witness saw a man
carrying a briefcase away from a car with a broken window.  Another witness
recovered the briefcase nearby and returned it.

Fell St. and Masonic Ave.  10:25 AM  Vandalism  A customer broke a gas pump
with its nozzle and drove away.

2400 block of Geary Blvd.  (Wood St.)  Theft  A property manager reported
that a building had changed hands but the former property manager continued
to rent apartments to innocent tenants.

Masonic Ave. and Fell St.  12:20 PM  Traffic Case  Traffic collision: car
versus pedestrian - one party taken to SFGH.

1400 block of Page St.  (Central Ave.)  2:15 AM  Aided Case  Sergeant Silas
and posse investigated a call of a man down and found a 28 year old Antioch
man who had fallen from a fourth floor window.  He was taken to SFGH.

Turk and Divisadero Streets  11:40 AM  Traffic Case  Traffic collision: car
versus car - two injured.

Serious Incidents

First block of Beaver St. (Castro St.) 10 AM  Burglary  Occurred between
June 4 and 5. Laptop taken. Entry via unlocked back door of house.

Forest Hill MUNI Station  7:10  Attempted Robbery  A 14 year old Miraloma
Park boy said that two other teens tried to rob him of his cell phone. He
escaped the pair by running through the tunnel to the West Portal Station.

Panhandle Park - Ashbury and Oak Streets  11:50 PM  Robbery  A 24 year old
Pacific Heights man said that he and his girlfriend were confronted by five
men, one of whom wrapped his arms around the victim while another man
pointed a gun at him. The robbers relieved the victim of his wallet, money,
and necklace before escaping.

500 block of Clayton St.  (Page St.)  Theft  Internet bank fraud case
occurred June 16.

400 block of Corbett Ave. (Clayton St.)  1:30 PM  Battery  Officer Lundin
cited a 55 year old Corona Heights man for assaulting a coworker at a
construction site.

2200 block of Geary Blvd.  (Lyon St.)  3:30 PM  Missing Person  A 77 year
old Excelsior District woman became disoriented and walked away from her
family. She was found that evening on the 4200 block of Moraga Street and
reunited with her daughter.

Haight Street Corridor - Haight and Ashbury Streets  3:45 PM  Battery  A 32
year old La Habra, CA, man was beaten by his drinking companions.

1400 block of Masonic Ave. (Frederick St.)  5 PM  Traffic Case  Hit and run
traffic collision of parked car.

2000 block of McAllister St.  (Central Ave.)  10:45 PM  Court Order
Violation  Officer Dennis arrested a 35 year old NOPA man for violating a
court stay away order.

1700 block of Oak St.  (Ashbury St.)  Stolen Vehicle  '92 Subaru taken in
the morning.

2300 block of O'Farrell St.  (St. Joseph's Ave.)  4:30 PM  Disorderly
Conduct  Officer Ferraz arrested a 37 year old Bernal Heights man for being
drunk in public and on a local warrant.  The man had refused to leave a
hospital's emergency room after being discharged.

2400 block of O'Farrell St. (Lyon St.)  8:20 AM  Auto Burglary  Officer
Barcena and Officer Nakano arrested two people - a 22 year old SOMA man and
a 20 year old Sacramento man - for breaking into a parked car and stealing
jewelry. The pair also had property taken in an auto burglary in the
Richmond District.

First block of Walter Street  2:30 AM  Robbery  A woman returning home was
confronted by a robber who took her wallet and made off with her bicycle.
She gave chase and knocked the man off her bicycle. She recovered her bike
but the man fled with her wallet.

Other Incidents

1000 block of Ashbury St.  Stolen License Plates  Taken between June 5 and
11.

Golden Gate Park - Middle Drive East and Bowling Green Drive  Auto Burglary
Occurred between 11:30 AM and 3:30 PM.

Haight Street Corridor

       Stanyan and Waller Streets  3:45 PM  Traffic Case  A 37 year old
Outer Richmond District man was cited for driving with a suspended license;
       his car was impounded.
       Masonic Ave. and Haight St.  4:30 PM  Warrant Service  Officer Racine
arrested a 22 year old SF man on a misdemeanor BART vandalism   warrant.
       700 block of Stanyan St.  6 PM  Vandalism  A grocery store's security
guard's personal vehicle had its finish scratched.
       Masonic Ave. and Haight St. 10 PM  Traffic Case  Car versus
bicyclist; one party injured.
       1400 block of Haight St.  11:50 PM  Mental Health Evaluation  Officer
Lamela took a 36 year old Excelsior District man to SFGH for an
evaluation.

Oak and Cole Streets  8 PM  Warrant Service  Officer O'Leary arrested a 29
year old Truckee man on a SF misdemeanor warrant.

1200 block of Page St.  Noon  Missing Person  Teen ran away from juvenile
facility.

First block of Parkhill Ave.  2:40 PM  Stolen Vehicle  '93 Honda recovered.

1200 block of Stanyan St.  Stolen Vehicle  '11 Ford taken between midnight
and 6:30 AM.

Serious Incidents

Hayes and Stanyan Streets  3:30 PM  Robbery  A 37 year old SF man reported
that he was struck from behind and knocked unconscious. His backpack and
two laptop computers were then taken.

Other Incidents

800 block of Clayton St.  9:30 AM  Stolen Vehicle  '98 Honda recovered.

600 block of Corbett Ave.  2:30 PM  Theft  Officer Greer investigated a
theft wherein a 78 year old woman sent over $12,000 to a Canadian address
under the impression that she had won $25,000 in a lottery. The woman's
bank had notified the Adult Protective Services and the Royal Canadian
Mounted Police.

Golden Gate Park - Stanyan Meadows  12:50 PM  Narcotics Case  Officer
Brandt arrested a 29 year old Las Vegas, NV, man for possessing marijuana
for sale and for possessing a prohibited weapon (slungshot).

Haight Street Corridor

       600 block of Stanyan St.  2:30 PM  Theft  Officer Parker investigated
a shoplifting incident and arrested a 33 year old SF man for petty theft
and a   SF warrant.
       600 block of Haight St.  7 PM  Theft  Unattended iPod taken from
behind store's counter.

1100 block of Hayes St.  12 AM  Stolen Vehicle  '96 Honda taken.

400 block of Lincoln Way  5 PM  Mental Health Evaluation  Officer Imbellino
answered a MUNI Inspector's call of a woman wandering in traffic. He found
the inspector restraining a 53 year old woman. The good officer took the
woman to SFGH for an evaluation.

2000 block of Market St.  8:20 AM  Stolen Property   Officer Nakano and
Officer Barcena investigated a disturbance inside a grocery store and
arrested a 41 year old SOMA man for possessing a stolen bicycle (it had
been taken from a bike rack in the SOMA on June 1).

First block of Shrader St.  11 PM  Missing Person  46 year old resident of
rehabilitation facility failed to return as promised.

Serious Incidents
1500 block of Golden Gate Ave.  8 AM  Burglary  Occurred between June 3 and
June 4.  Door to building's storage room forced open and valuables taken.

Clayton and Fulton Streets  4:45 PM  Robbery  A German tourist was robbed
at gunpoint of his phone, camera and cash. The robber was described as a
black male, 18 to 25 years old, 5'7 tall, 150 pounds, black hair, wearing a
blue hooded sweatshirt, dark baggy jeans, using a black pistol.

First block of Noe St.  8 PM  Arson  Vehicle fire.

Other Incidents
500 block of Buena Vista West Ave.  1:45 PM  Stolen Vehicle  '94 Acura
taken.

1800 block of Eddy St.  9:30 PM  Missing Person  Teen ran away from home.

Geary Blvd. and Scott St.  2 AM  Traffic Case  A motorist collided with a
utility pole and fled the scene abandoning his two injured passengers and
his car.

Golden Gate Park
       Stanyan and Oak Streets  3:10 PM  Drug Case  Officer Elieff cited a
30 year old Outer Sunset man for resisting arrest and possession of
marijuana.
       Alvord Lake  6:30 PM  Drug Case  Officer Farrell arrested a 23 year
old SF man for possession of marijuana for sale and for possession of
morphine.

Haight Street Corridor
       600 block of Cole St.  8:45 PM  Warrant Service  Officer Bodisco
arrested a 44 year old SOMA man on a misdemeanor SF warrant.
       Haight and Clayton Streets  5 PM  Drug Case  Officer Fraize
investigated an auto burglary and arrested two Mendocino County men for
       possessing marijuana and hallucinogenic mushrooms for sale.

Masonic Ave. and O'Farrell St.  4 AM  Traffic Case  Car versus utility
pole, no injuries.

Oak and Pierce Streets  2 PM  Traffic Case  Officer Farrell arrested a 21
year old SOMA man for a SF misdemeanor warrant and for driving with a
suspended license. The man's car was impounded, too.

Turk and Divisadero Streets  5:30 PM  Traffic Case  Officer Greer
investigated a traffic collision (car versus car) and arrested a 39 year
old Outer Richmond District man for DUI.

Woodside Ave. and Laguna Honda Blvd.  Traffic Case  Hit and Run of parked
car occurred sometime during the day.

Serious Incidents
1600 Haight St.  1:10 PM  Robbery  A 25 year old Daly City woman was
harassed by her ex-boyfriend, a 38 year old SF man. She sought shelter
inside a store and called 911. The ex-boyfriend struck her in the face and
ran off with her cell phone.  Officer Brandt arrested the man the next day
in Golden Gate Park at Alvord Lake.

Page and Lyon Streets  9:45 PM  Robbery  A 33 year old Haight Ashbury woman
was robbed of her belongings at gunpoint as she walked home.

Other Incidents
2300 block of 15th St.  1:30 PM  Missing Person  17 year old ran away from
home.

100 block of Clayton St.  6 PM  Stolen Vehicle  '94 Honda taken between May
24 and 27. It was recovered on the 1800 block of Oak Street at 8:45 PM.

First block of Crestline Dr.  10:30 AM  Vandalism  Parked car's engine
damaged.

200 block of Divisadero St.  12:01 AM  Traffic Case  Unlicensed cabbie
cited for permit violation.

Golden Gate Park - Fell and Stanyan Streets  10:50 PM Vandalism  Tree cut
down with saw.

Fulton and Parson Streets  6 PM  Auto Burglary

First block of Gardenside Dr.  7 PM  Missing Person  28 year old SF man's
father reported that his son did not keep his appointments as promised.

Haight Street Corridor

       1700 block of Haight St.  7:20 PM  Theft  Unattended laptop computer
taken from bar.

2100 block of O'Farrell St.  3:30 PM  Vandalism  Damage to car's finish.

1400 block of Page St.  10:45 PM  Stolen Vehicle  '96 Acura taken.

  Serious Incidents
  1300 block of McAllister.  1:20 AM  Robbery W/Force  Victim was jumped
  from behind & beaten by 3 young men, as he was unlocking his front door
  to go home for the night. The victim’s property was taken by the robbers
  as they were beating him.

1300 block of McAllister  1:20 AM  Robbery  A 27 year old NOPA man was
mugged by three other men who beat him and ran off with his wallet and cell
phone.

1200 block of 6th Ave.  10 AM  Burglary  Occurred between 6:30 AM, May 24,
and 9:30 AM, May 25.  Entry via unlocked bedroom window. Currency and
computer taken.

300 block of Broderick St.  8:30 PM  Burglary  Occurred between 6 PM, May
21 and 9 AM, May 22. Bicycle dismantled and its components taken from
building's garage.

  Other Incidents
  Waller & Belvedere.  00:12 AM  Mental Health Evaluation  Officer Wong
  detained an individual for psychiatric evaluation.

  Serious Incidents
  1500 block of Oak St.  7:45 AM - 6:10 PM  Burglary  Citizen reported
  that his front door had been kicked in, & his apartment burglarized.

  1700 block of Ellis St.  10:32 AM  Street Robbery  Citizen reporter that
  a man grabbed her property & ran away. When the female victim chased &
  grabbed the thief, he sprayed her in the face with pepper spray.

  1500 block of Fell St. 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM  Burglary  Citizen reported
  that his apartment was burglarized. The thief most likely gained entry
  through an unlocked window.

  1200 block of 7th Avenue.  1:30 PM  Hot Prowl Burglary  Citizen heard a
  noise in his apartment. When he went to investigate, he found a strange
  man inside, who then ran away. The man gained entry through an unlocked
  front door.

  1600 block of McAllister.  8:00 AM – 5:45 PM  Burglary  Citizen reported
  a burglary of their flat. The burglar gained entry through a window left
  open for the victim’s cat.

  Other Incidents
  1200 block of Waller St.  7:45 AM  Theft from Building  Teacher reported
  property stolen from her classroom.

  1400 block of Haight.  11:40 AM  Bicycle Theft  Couple reported that
  their locked bicycles were stolen while they were eating in a café.

  Haight & Stanyan.  2:13 PM  Mental Health Evaluation  Officer Fegan
  detained an individual for a mental health evaluation.

  Panhandle Park  4:00 PM  Warrant Arrest  Officer Fegan warned a man
  about his large dog not being on a leash. A record check revealed that
  the man had an outstanding arrest warrant.

  Haight & Masonic  4:34 PM  Unlicensed Driver  Officer Gumpher observed a
  vehicle run a red light. The driver had never been issued a driver’s
  license, and was issued a citation.

  400 block of Divisadero  5:03 PM  Driving W/Suspended License  Officer
  Greer observed a car make an illegal left turn. The driver had a
  suspended license & an active arrest warrant. Officer Greer arrested the
  driver.
  500 block of Burnett Ave.  8:16 PM  Theft from a Building  A citizen
  reported that someone had cut the locks on & rummaged through the
  storage lockers in his car port.

  100 block of Corbett.  9:58 PM  Credit Card Theft  Citizen reported that
  his roommate’s friend stole & made charges with his credit cards.

Serious Incidents
  Geary & Scott (MUNI bus).  8:45 PM  Theft From Person  Citizen reported
  that his iPhone was snatched out of his hand on the bus by a young male
  who then ran off the bus.

  800 block of Cole St.  9:37 PM  Store Burglary, Forcible Entry  Officer
  Davies arrested a man who was fleeing after breaking into a store and
  stealing a large quantity of cash.

  Lyon & Grove.  11:55 PM  Street Robbery  A citizen reported being jumped
  from behind & beaten by 3 young African-American men who also stole his
  wallet.

  Other Incidents
  1300 block of Haight St.  2:00 PM  Theft from Building  The owner of a
  store reported that an item from the window display had been stolen.

  700 block of Stanyan St.  2:08 PM  Marijuana Sales  Officer Farrell
  arrested a man he observed selling marijuana in public view.

  200 block of Woodside.  5:15 AM  Recovered Stolen Vehicle  Officers
  Dennis & Wu located and recovered a stolen vehicle.

Bay to Breakers (Late Report)
Masonic Ave. and Fell St.  2 PM  Lost Property Victim reported losing his
wallet and having it returned minus his drivers license.

       May 20

Serious Incidents
771 Clayton St.  Burglary  Occurred between 12 and 12:30 PM on May 19.
Entry via an unlocked door. Two laptop computers taken while victim was
home.

200 block of Corbett Ave.  7:50 PM  Robbery  A 29 year old Twin Peaks woman
used an ATM at 18th and Castro Streets and walked home. She was pulled to
the ground, struck in the face, and robbed of her purse and money by two
female juveniles on the 200 block of Corbett Ave.  Officer Tarbox
investigated and broadcast the description of the two robbers. Mission
Station's Officers Richard and Buckner found the two perpetrators at 18th
and Castro Streets and the victim identified them as her assailants.
Sergeant Callaway took over the investigation and recovered the stolen
property from the pair. They were surrendered into the custody of a
Juvenile Probation Officer at the Juvenile Justice Center on Woodside Ave
and charged with robbery.

Other Incidents
600 block of Central Ave.  8:40 PM  Battery  Officer Embody investigated a
Domestic Violence incident and arrested a 38 year old NOPA woman for
violating a court order and on a SF warrant for battery. He seized a
shotgun from the premises, too.

800 block of Central Ave.  10 PM  Missing Person  Teen left juvenile
facility without permission.

1700 block of Golden Gate Ave.  Stolen Vehicle  '72 Oldsmobile taken
sometime between 2:30 and 3:30 PM.

Haight Street Corridor

       600 block of Stanyan St.  6:20 PM  Theft  Officer Racine arrested a
51 year old SF man for shoplifting and charged him with felony theft (he
had three convictions for theft), disorderly conduct (drunk in public) and
creating a public nuisance.
       600 block of Ashbury St.  8:40 PM  Sit/Lie Violation  One cited.

Parkridge Dr. and Burnett Ave.  1:10 PM  Disorderly Conduct  Officer Lundin
and Officer Kenney arrested a 51 year old SF man for being drunk in public.
Note: This was the same man who was later arrested for theft on the 600
block of Stanyan Street after being released from Park Station.

300 block of Parnassus Ave.  Stolen Vehicle  '05 Mercedes Benz recovered at
8:30 AM.

First block of Shrader St.  5 PM  Missing Person  27 year old resident of
rehabilitation facility returned after an unexplained and unpermitted
absence.

600 block of Central Ave.  8:40 PM  Battery  Officer Embody investigated a
Domestic Violence incident and arrested a 38 year old NOPA woman for
violating a court order and on a SF warrant for battery. He seized a
shotgun from the premises, too.

800 block of Central Ave.  10 PM  Missing Person  Teen left juvenile
facility without permission.

1700 block of Golden Gate Ave.  Stolen Vehicle  '72 Oldsmobile taken
sometime between 2:30 and 3:30 PM.
