Serious Incidents
Crown Terr. 8:35 PM Residential Burglary A resident heard footsteps on a
lower floor and investigated. He heard someone running from his home and
found a flashlight that had been taken from inside the house and dropped
outside. Officer Parker investigated and a fingerprint was taken from the
light. Entry was via an unlocked side door. No other loss reported.
1000 Fell St. 8:50 PM Residential Burglary A resident heard a commotion
in his living room and found three burglars leaving his flat. He gave chase
to the trio but lost sight of them in the neighborhood. He reported that
his television had been moved during the burglary, that a guitar had been
damaged, and that a laptop computer had been stolen. The burglars were
described as: a black male in his late teens, 6' tall, 160 pounds, wearing
a dark hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, carrying a Razor skateboard (used in
his escape); an unknown race male of unknown age with a similar physical
build as the first suspect, wearing similar clothing as the first suspect
with a black cap; and a Hispanic male of unknown age, 5'6" tall, 145
pounds, also wearing similar clothing as the first two suspects, with a
light moustache. Entry was gained via an unlocked front door.
1700 block of McAllister St. 9:40 PM Residential Burglary Occurred
between 2:30 and 8:30 PM. No forced entry found. Medicine, computer
peripherals, and jewelry taken.
Other Incidents
17th and Ord Streets 1 PM Traffic Case Sergeant Panina and posse cited
15 motorists for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a marked crosswalk in
a traffic enforcement operation.
Carl and Cole Streets 4 PM Warrant Service Officer Anderson arrested a
51 year old Tenderloin man on an Alameda County warrant for disorderly
conduct.
First block of Castro St. 5:45 PM Battery Officer O'Leary arrested a 56
year old Mission District man for battery and disorderly conduct. The
drunken man became enraged when told that he would not be treated at the
hospital's emergency room. He struck a doctor and kicked a security guard.
The man was booked at Park Station for being drunk in public and cited for
the assaults upon being released when he was sober.
Fortuna Ave. 3:30 PM Found Property Officer Lieu took ammunition
supplies from a resident and delivered them to the Police Range at Lake
Merced for destruction.
2600 block of Geary Blvd. 8:30 PM Auto Burglary Occurred between 6:30
and 7 PM.
1900 block of Golden Gate Ave. 6:35 PM Theft Bank fraud case: suspect
known.
Golden Gate Park - Sharon Meadows 12:55 PM Narcotics Case Officer Nakano
arrested a 25 year old SF man for possession of hallucinogenic mushrooms.
1800 block of Haight St. 6 PM Theft Occurred at 1:15 PM on April 5th and
reported at Tenderloin Station. A woman said that she hung her purse over
the back of her chair in a restaurant and later noticed it missing. She
found that her credit cards had been used in fraudulent purchases on Market
Street.
700 block of Page St. 7 PM Missing Person A worried father called Police
Service Aide Sainez at Park Station to report that his son, a Haight
Ashbury man, had not arrived in New Zealand as scheduled. Foot Beat
Officers Gumpfer and Davies located the man at home and asked him to call
his father in New Zealand.
600 block of Shrader St. 9:30 AM Auto Burglary Occurred between April 5
and 6.
600 block of Haight St. 4:55 PM Theft Foot Beat Officer Davies arrested
a 46 year old Mission District man for shoplifting and for disorderly
conduct. The man was booked at Park Station for being drunk in public and
cited for the theft upon being released when he was sober.
2900 block of Turk St. 4:35 PM Auto Burglary A witness reported seeing
two suspects rummaging through a parked car with broken glass beneath it.
Officer Bowers investigated but could not locate the car's owner. He left a
message with the owner's neighbor requesting contact.
Turk and Divisadero Streets 1:40 AM Traffic Case Officer Wu investigated
a two car traffic collision and arrested a 38 year old Corona Heights man
for felony DUI.
